Our Vision

The Institute teaches Hadith Studies and Seerah Studies, with Arabic as the language of revelation, taught so that a student reads the Qur’an and the classical texts directly.

Its purpose is to bring students to the primary sources themselves, read in the light of the traditional commentators and of contemporary scholars of ḥadīth — for this knowledge is taken from those qualified to carry it, not from general opinion. Ṣaḥīḥ al-Bukhārī is read book by book. The Seerah is read in sequence. The commentaries are consulted directly, and every attribution is to a text actually opened.

The aim is that a student comes to hear the words of the Prophet ﷺ as instruction addressed to her, in her own time. To do that she must first understand the age in which those words were spoken — the people, the circumstances, the questions being answered. Only then can the teaching be carried forward with any accuracy. This is not a method we have devised; it is what we have been told to do.

لَقَدْ كَانَ لَكُمْ فِي رَسُولِ اللَّهِ أُسْوَةٌ حَسَنَةٌ لِّمَن كَانَ يَرْجُو اللَّهَ وَالْيَوْمَ الْآخِرَ وَذَكَرَ اللَّهَ كَثِيرًا

In the Messenger of Allah you have a good example, for whoever hopes in Allah and the Last Day and remembers Allah often.

Sūrat al-Aḥzāb 33:21

The example is set. What remains is that it reach us intact — and the manner of its transmission was itself entrusted to us.

نَضَّرَ اللَّهُ امْرَأً سَمِعَ مِنَّا حَدِيثًا فَحَفِظَهُ حَتَّى يُبَلِّغَهُ غَيْرَهُ، فَرُبَّ حَامِلِ فِقْهٍ إِلَى مَنْ هُوَ أَفْقَهُ مِنْهُ، وَرُبَّ حَامِلِ فِقْهٍ لَيْسَ بِفَقِيهٍ

May Allah brighten the face of one who hears a ḥadīth from us, commits it to memory, and passes it on to another. For many a bearer of knowledge carries it to one with deeper understanding than his own, and many a bearer of knowledge is himself no jurist.

Our core commitment is to deliver knowledge that is authentic — nothing cited that has not been located in the text, and no ḥadīth taught without its grading, as al-Ḥākim, al-Albānī and the scholars of ḥadīth before them have graded it; organised — taught in the structure classical scholarship was built in, rather than in fragments; and connected — read as guidance given then and binding now.

Whoever comes seeking this knowledge is welcome here — the beginner and the one returning after long absence alike. We hope that a student leaves with her īmān strengthened, her heart more settled, and the Prophet ﷺ established in her life not as a figure of the distant past but as the guide he was sent to be: the one who healed hearts, and who said of himself that he was sent as a teacher.
